November…a crazy month

December5

It’s really hard to find the time to blog these days. However, if there is anyone still out there reading this, I’ll give you a quick update on what we’ve been up to.

At the beginning of November I was able to go to London for a week of strategic planning. I hadn’t been since high school so I was looking forward to the visit. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see much because we were so busy working, but it was nice to spend some time across the pond.

As soon as I got back from London, I headed to NY for a quick work conference and then I finally made it home to my own bed. Traveling while being pregnant has definitely worn me out a lot faster than normal. Thankfully things have slowed down and I think I’m staying put for awhile. Since I’ve been back in town, we’ve been busy with weddings and the holidays. Dave had the honor of officiating two weddings in November for some great friends - Ben & Sarah and Lee & Amie. He had never performed a wedding before, but he did such a great job and both weddings were absolutely perfect!!

After having every weekend booked it was so nice to have two days off for Thanksgiving, even though they went by way too quickly. We had lunch with Dave’s side of the family and then dinner with mine. I’ve been constantly hungry as of late, but even with maternity pants I couldn’t eat as much as I thought I would. I don’t guess there is room for that much food.

Saturday was my mom’s 60th birthday!! She’ll probably kill me for telling her age, but she looks fabulous, don’t you think!? We celebrated by having dinner at Margo Cafe and then enjoying some homemade hummingbird cake. It was great to have the whole family together. Thanks Mom, for being such a wonderful friend and example to everyone : )

November was quite the whirlwind and I expect December will be just as hectic, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Hope everyone has a great holiday season!!

I’m still reading and happy to see an update. Glad you’re getting to stay put for a while–know all that traveling is rough on you being pregnant. And……I think you need to post a picture of you…..and not just the top of you like these pics! :0)
