This Stinks
We hadn’t planned on doing anything to our unfinished basement for a few years. However, we discovered that concrete is very dusty and when we let the dogs downstairs to play they were tracking everything upstairs causing a terrible mess. So…we decided that we would stain the floor. They would have started weeks ago, but were waiting on a week of 40+ degree weather. It’s a week-long process and Friday was the first day of the sealer. When I came home on my lunch break I could hardly breath because of the fumes. It completely filled the house and we had to pack up everything and leave. This is terrible timing, but it’s too late to stop now.
We are currently playing a game of freeze out
At least it’s looking good so far
Hopefully we can air the house out and not have to wash everything we own!
The floor looks great! Hope those fumes are gone very soon so you can be back in the house and all settled before that sweet boy gets there!
i now smell the fumes everywhere i go… bummer. at least it looks good.
no kidding. not fun to have your clothes smell and your food taste like paint, but well worth the process in the end!
